Pituitary Adenoma Research Foundation (PARF)
Pituitary Adenoma Research Foundation (PARF)

Dr. Watson is the founder of the Pituitary Adenoma Research Foundation in 2004 (EIN # 86-1106748).  Although he is no longer on its board of directors, he acts as a volunteer scientific advisor.  PARF has helped fund numerous research and educational endeavors since its inception through various fundraising efforts (see details below).

By forging collaboration with George Mason University, Cerebrum MD, and George Washington University, PARF supports efforts to understand the origins of tumors and how to target tumor-specific chemicals for new treatments.

We accept tax-deductible donations to the Pituitary Adenoma Research Foundation (PARF).  Donations may be mailed to the office at Cerebrum MD and checks made out to PARF (please include EIN # 86-1106748 in comments for tax purposes):

PARF is proud of its modest accomplishments over the years.  In the era of President Pat Jean-Pierre, PARF put on a fundraiser basketball clinic with then New Jersey Nets coach Lawrence Frank and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament for the YMCA youth of the Bronx.   Since then PARF has been responsible for the following:

Provided grant funding for pituitary research fellows Jacki Regan and Catherine Buell (current).  With this funding, Ms. Regan was able to publish multiple peer-reviewed pituitary articles including one of the most cited articles of its kind in 2013

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3600533/

Furthermore, PARF supported a pituitary tumor comprehensive course in 2015 that attracted guests from a multi-state region.

PARF supported research has also contributed to presentations across the country and in Europe over the last 9 years.
